Big Daddy

Big Daddy ~ He is not only the most wonderful and loving husband in the world, he is also my best friend and soulmate. MY gift from God 20 years ago. The father of our 2 wonderful sons. He is a Testing Engineer for the Automotive Industry. He is a licensed minister of the Church of God of Prophecy. He is also a great provider.

"Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way."

Chattanooga Lookouts

This is "Louie" the Chattanooga Lookouts mascot. What a way to relax after a busy (and at times stressful)week by going to a Chattanooga Lookouts Baseball Game! Big Daddy, Football Star, and I (along with 23 other people from our church) went to a Chattanooga Lookouts Baseball game. For those that you that do not know, Chattanooga Lookouts are the Cincinnati Reds Farm team. (I just learned all this yesterday...but don't tell anyone..it makes me look real smart LOL) The Lookouts played the Birmingham Barons(They are the White Sox's Farm team). Even tho the Lookouts lost 5-1, we had such a great time with so many of our wonderful friends!

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time.....

God Bless~

A Success!

I haven't posted much this week because we had VBS at our church. I am the director so as you can imagine, I haven't had alot of time to blog. Our theme this year was "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands". With the way the world is these days our kids need to know that we have a heavenly Father that has EVERYTHING under control. The kids had memory verses to learn each night. Day #1 was - Genesis 1:1 (God made the World), Day #2 - John 3:16 (God so Loved the World), Day #3 - John 8:12 (Jesus is the Light of the World), Day #4 - Mark 16:15 (Go ye unto all the Word and Preach the Gospel), Day #5 - Graduation Day. Our songs for the week were "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands", "Jesus loves the little Children", "Jesus is all the World to me", and "This little Light of Mine". Our Crafts we made this week were "Picture Frame"(This is something I do each year. I set up a little backdrop and take every childs picture), "John 3:16 Foam Craft", "He's Got the Whole World Foam Craft", and "Paddle Ball". Even tho I am so tired, it feels great to do something for the Lord. To hear those little voices say "Sister Char....." and see their little eyes light up when they see the puppets. It is so worth all the time and effort.

Until next time...

God Bless

Voice of Truth

As I sit here this afternoon working on last minute preparation for Vacation Bible School, I am in awe at the Almighty God. We as humans, sometimes limit what God can do for us. I have had a very trying and stressful week. When we think we aren't able to handle the situation we are in, God steps in just in time and proves how truly AWESOME He is. Like the song from Casting Crowns "Voice of Truth", we need to stop at times and listen for the "Voice of Truth". God is ALWAYS there for us in our time of need, if we will let Him. When the voice of doubt tells "you can never win", it's the "Voice of Truth" that tells us we can. When the giants in our lives remind us of all the times we have failed, it's the "Voice of Truth" that tells us a different story and that what we do is for His glory. Anytime we do things for the glory of the Lord we won't fail. We only fail when we DON'T do things to glorify Jesus.

God Bless.
