Keep the Candle Burning

"A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle."

I read this quote a couple weeks ago and it has stuck with me since. Even as we lit the candles for the Jack-O-lanterns this Halloween, I felt I needed to post on this subject. This quote is so true even for our Spiritual life. We lose NOTHING by leading others to Jesus. Proverbs 20:27 says, "The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD" and Luke 1:79 says, " To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death". Our spirit is the candle of the Lord and we need to give light to them that sit in darkness. A candle that is lit doesn't go out when lighting another candle. Instead, have you noticed the flame even becomes higher and brighter?? No wonder the bible says "That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." One candle in the darkness shines bright, but 2 or more shine even brighter making the path easier to see. Today, I have been reading a book written by our State Overseer, E.C. McKinley called "Pulling Them from the Fire". This book is filled with accounts that have happened in his Ministry where God used him to witness to those that were lost. Some of the people came to know Jesus within minutes of dying. How close these people came to eternity in Hell. Forever being separated from God. It has inspired me today. I want to be use my candle and light others to know Jesus. I want to pull those lost out of the fire. I have so many lost family that need Jesus in their life. My family has been raised to know Jesus. I am not only speaking my immediate family. I am speaking of my extended family (Aunt, Uncles, Cousins, etc.) also. I know they know, they know they know, but it takes more than knowing! They must receive Jesus into their life as Lord and Savior. I pray God uses me in a mighty way to lead not only my loving family but EVERYONE that does not know Him. If you are reading this and do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, I pray that God speaks to your heart. Nothing would thrill me than to know that by you reading my blog, I was "Pulling them from the Fire".

Until next time.....

God Bless~
