This is the "silver" tray to my tea set. Big D found it at a garage sale for $2. Then we got silver cleaner and polished it until it was like new! I absolutely love it!

They say someones junk is another person treasures. This is lovely.
I always find it so amazing what people give away in yard sales! What a beautiful tray, a lucky find indeed! This is my first time participating in the Photo Hunt...great fun:-)
This is wonderful. Great buy too. It reminds me of the saying "You were served on a silver platter." Wasn't able to join the Photo hunters. I was at a loss when I was going to post and all of a sudden I couldn't open my own blogger as I was switched to the new blogger buzz and not the blogger beta. They said blogger beta is already dead and this is the new one. So anyway, no Photo Hunter today but have something special for everyone. It is much better than silver and gold. Please do visit if you have the time.

I am not only a seeker of God's light, but I am also a seeker of Lighthouses. I love traveling and visiting lighthouses. I have visited 16 different lighthouses in my life. I have visited them in Oregon (Conquille and Cape Blanco), Florida (Ponce de Leon), California (Point Montara, Point Cabrillo, Fort Point, Alcatraz Island, Point Arena, Point Bonita), North Carolina (Currituck, Bodie Island, Cape Hatteras, Ocracoke, Cape Lookout), and Indiana (Michigan City and Old Michigan City).

That's the wonderful thing about silver! Old and tattered one minute, shiney and new the next! Your tray is very pretty!
It is gorgeous and so great that you got it for such a small amount. Silver cream and elbow grease work wonders.
Nice picture for the theme.
What an absolute bargain, it is beautiful. Happy weekend.
What a beautiful piece and such a find at the garage sale! Good for you!
Two bucks?! What a fantastic deal!
Mine's up too :)
That's a great find!! I love when that happens!! I've done that too, found something so great for so little!
Love ya!
Wow, that silver tray was a great bargain. Isn't it nice when you find something and then find the real hidden beauty in it? Thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend,
Biker Betty :)
