Urgent Prayer Needed!

Today my mind has been constantly on my Pastor. Actually there is not a day recently that I do not grieve for him. Pleading with God for a complete healing. See he found out a couple months ago, something that if God does not intervene could cause him to NEVER preach again. He was born with a condition at birth that causes weak vocal cords. Causing a raspy voice, but he never realized it would turn into the situation it has. The doctors told him that if he does not completely stop talking he will go mute when in a matter of a couple years. He has a couple blood vessels that are enlarged to the point that even a slight cough or sneeze could cause them to rupture. But that is not all, he has Cancer spots on his vocal cords. We praise God that it is not the kind of Cancer that spreads. It will stay localized. They put him on a pill form of chemotherapy. Sunday he had to go home during Sunday School because he became so sick. That has made it so surreal to me. I know what Chemo can do, even the slight form of it. I have seen at work. My heart cries for my Pastor today!
Sunday night I stood and shared my heart before I sang "Touching Him" by Ray Boltz. My question to the church was "Are we really doing all we can for our Pastor? You might have said a few prayers, but have you actually labored in prayer? Fasted any meals? It is our job as the Church to stand behind our Pastor in his time of need! Are we actually "Touching Him" for our Pastor?" I want to do all I can for my Pastor. He is a wonderful man of God. I could write pages of examples. But the best example is he has a loving, Pastors heart. He is also a very young man. He is in his mid 30s. He has so many years left to give to his calling. So many lives he could touch as he preaches the gospel.
Our Church is devastated because we do not want to lose our Pastor. But more over, I don't want to see an awesome man of God unable to do what his heart longs to do. Please put him on your daily prayer list. If God speaks to your heart to fast a few meals for him, please do. I know God will richly bless you for your obedience. I have faith that God will see him thru. I draw my strength today from the scripture in Psalms 37:25, it says "I have never seen the righteous forsaken."

Until next time.....

God Bless~
