Back to the old Grind

Well it was "back to the old grind" for all of us today. The holiday vacation is over. We all had the look of dread on our face as we got ready for the day.

Computer Geek made several decisions over the Winter Break. After a lot of discussion and prayer that he make the right decision, he has decided to drop band the rest of the year so hopefully he can get a job. Band cost him his last job. He also decided not to pursue Marching Band at TTU. He said he want to give all he has to his education. He has decided to work towards a dual degree, Computer/Electrical Engineering. You have to admire a young man that has that ambition. As long has he is healthy and happy, he could be a janitor and I would just as proud of him. Although I loved watching him march and will miss it greatly, I really feel this was the best decision for him. He wants to take the ACT one more time. He got a 30 this last time, but wants a 31 due to more scholarship money. We are so proud of him.

Football star enjoyed his vacation. He got computer parts for Christmas and Computer Geek built it for him. So he has enjoyed days of lounging around. I hope he takes it easy during Physical Training and after school Weight Training. All those muscles will be in shock after all the time off. He will be taking the drivers test for his permit sometime this month. He thinks he is ready now, but I want to wait until I know he is. We are so proud of all his accomplishments.

Big D left this morning for work and I really hated to see him go. We had such a good time spending almost 2 weeks together. He called me about 8:30 and says, "I have to leave for Kentucky". Poor guy first day back from vacation and he has to travel. What a long day he will have now. He is such a good provider for his family. I love him so much for his dedication to take care of us.

Lacey and I, well we will have our normal day of cleaning and laundry while I waiting for work to come in.

It sure has been a quiet morning.

Until next time.....

God Bless~

Those major decisions being made are tough aren't they? You should be veyr proud of CG...sounds like you all have done a wonderful job raising a fine young man.

I have been a little "depressed" myself, it's that letdown after the holidays. Big D (my Big D that is) went back to work after over a week off and though the kids are still out of school till next week I'm just blah. Check my blog...you won't believe that something that I wrote concerning christmas deco's. Shocking!! LOL

Love ya!
