Big Daddy, the boys, and I went to see Dukes of Hazzard tonight. Big Daddy grew up watching Dukes of Hazzard like most guys his age. We knew it wouldn't be as good as the originals, but we wanted to see it anyway. It was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone(even the biggest Dukes fan). Biggest disappointment to me was this:(Close your eyes if plan to see it)
In the TV version, Uncle Jesse stopped the moonshine business and was trying to live a good upstanding life. In the movie version, not only did Uncle Jesse sell his moonshine he was drinking it! I liked it better when Uncle Jesse was a good guy. Bo and Luke were delivering the moonshine for Uncle Jesse. MAJOR disappointment for me. They shouldn't have used the theme song "Good old boys". How could they be "good old boys meaning no harm" when they are in the moonshine business? <~heavy sigh~>
(Ok open your eyes now!)
They just can't remake a classic!(In My Humble Opinion)
Until next time.....
God Bless~

Char, I heard that on Cooter's website (the original) he didnt reccomend that fans go see it because they had "raunched it up." He said they turned a family show into...well...not a family show! His opinion along with yours will keep me from seeing it. Also what a sad shame that Jessica Simpson's dad used to be a preacher and during the making of one of the music videos for the movie he was on location watching his daughter roll around on a wet car rubbing herself wearing almost nothing and he said, "I couldnt be prouder." Very sad.
I gave my view on this movie before it hit the big screen, Good O'le Boys Gone Bad. I am not a Jessica Simpson fan, and after seeing the previews and hearing your review, I think I'll save my ten bucks!
