Time to catch up

I know it has been while since I posted, but I have been extremely busy this week.
Here is a little summary of what has gone on since my last post:

Big D went to Mississippi for a business trip for 3 days. Of course, I always miss him when he is gone. He came home on Tuesday. He has been working so much lately He is such a great husband, father, and provider!

I have been swamped at work. It is the main reason I haven't had time to blog. Four days of 5 hours of sleep. Let me tell you I am about to crash. But I am not complaining because last week was a horrible week and this was a prayer answered. Also this week, I received a wonderful surprise gift in the mail from a friend that I truly cherish! She knew about my bad week last week and wanted to cheer me up. I know she will read this post. I want her to know that I love and appreciate her! I also helped out my brother-in-law with inventory on Tuesday. Back in May 2005, he and my in-laws sold the family grocery store they had owned for over 10 years. The people that bought it could not handle the business. They just didn't want to put in the effort it takes to run a grocery store. So I helped with inventory on Tuesday so Allan could buy the store back. We really missed having the store. It's great to have it back! This is another reason you don't mess with God's child! (Long story)

Computer Geek went to a TSA (Technology Students of America) competition Tuesday in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I am proud to announce that he came in 2nd in his competition. The school came in over all 2nd!! Congratulations guys!! We have also been so busy filling out scholarship applications. We have filled out 10-15 local scholarships. We are almost done. We have 3 left to fill out. Computer Geek has been so busy writing essays for all these scholarships. I pray that he is chosen for at least one of them.

Football Star has been so busy with weight training everyday and before school practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He has been studying a little for his driver's permit. He is so busy with football and homework. Studying for his permit is usually the last thing on the list.

We weighed over the weekend. Here are our results:

Me - 3 pounds lost (total 12 pounds)
Big D - 7 pounds lost (total 20 pounds)
Computer Geek - 3 pounds lost (total 9 pounds)

Until next time.....

Friday's Feast

Appetizer
Choose one: Popcorn, Pizza, Pretzels, Peanuts, or Pasta.
Definitely Pizza! If I weren't dieting, I could eat pizza nearly every day.

Soup
Describe your personality in terms of a particular vehicle.
Let see.... maybe the VW Bug since it is cute, lovable, and fun!

Salad
If you won a shopping spree, from which store would you want it to be?
Wal-mart, I could get EVERYTHING there from food to clothes, house supplies, and electronics.

Main Course

Which television show re-runs do you enjoy watching?
Who's Line?

Dessert
If you could look into the future, how far down the road would you like to see? 10 years? 100 years? A million? I would like to see 50 years down the road. I chose 50 because I would like to see what kind of parent and grandparent my boys turned out to be. to see all of their grandkids and great grandkids. Just to know they had a wonderful life.

Second Week - Weighing In

Today is Tuesday that means weigh day. I did ok, but I wasn't real thrilled with my progress. I busted my butt last week on my recumbant bike hoping for a good loss. I only ending up losing 2 pounds. I try to tell myself that losing 2 pounds is better than gaining 2 pounds. I am trying to stay positive. Here is our progress so far:

Me - 2 pound loss (total 9 pounds)
Big D - 3 pound loss (total 13 pounds)
Computer 0 pounds loss (total 6 pounds)

We have a long road ahead of us, but I have to remember that our goal is to feel better and be healthy no matter what we lose each week. Please keep us in your prayers!

Until next time.....

Fun Weekend

We had a nice weekend with a couple of fun activities!

Friday night we had a gospel concert with the Daryl Williams Trio. I love their new song "Too Late of Lazarus". I am not a HUGE fan of Southern Gospel. I am more of a Contemporary Christian girl, but I still enjoyed them. They were a blessing. The Daryl Williams Trio is very special to our church and pastor because Karen Williams is our new Pastor's youngest daughter. If you have not heard of the Daryl Williams Trio, you can see them on 3 or 4 of the Bill Gaither's Videos.

Saturday was our yearly Roller skating party for the Teenagers. We love to rent Rollerscape, our local roller skating rink, for the teenagers at church. We had 40 people come. For our little church that is a great number. Rollerscape has more than just roller skating which is nice for those of us that don't skate. They have several video games, pool tables, air hockey tables, and laser tag. Big D and I love to play the car racing games against each other. I beat him this time. Shhhh don't tell him I told you! But he beat me at air hockey 7 to 1. Ouch! LOL! For the first time in my life, I played Laser Tag. Let me tell you, if you have never tried Laser Tag, that is something everyone should try once in their life! Now I see why my 2 boys love to do it! I had so much fun! I know you are suppose to be quiet while you play so your opponent doesn't know where you are but I was too busy laughing and yelling every time I got hit (your vest vibrates and it would startle me EVERY TIME LOL!) When we started I told the lady in charge that I didn't care whose was on my team as long as I wasn't on Big D, Computer Geek, Football Star, and Brother John's (our previous pastor) team. That was a BIG mistake on my part! LOL! They were all on 1 team against me. My team got to go in first and find a hiding place. After the second team was in place, our vest lit up and our laser gun was activated. Right off the bat my vest was constantly vibrating and I could not figure out what I was doing wrong because I was hid in the corner where I thought I was safe. But what I didn't know was there are little holes in the walls and Computer Geek was right behind me shooting through a little hole in the wall!! Little snot! I was on hot pursuit to look for Brother John. I had my team members help me find him but I never did find him. I so wanted to get him. After our time was up, we get our status sheets. Computer Geek shot me 15 times! I know at least 5-8 of them were the first 5 minutes when I didn't know what I was doing. LOL! And Brother John shot me 3 time. I told him "how is it I could not find you but you shot me 3 times!" He just laughed! I had such a fun time! Everyone seemed to have such a good time too!

Hope you had a good weekend.

Until next time.....

Snow Day!!

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly they call school off for snow here in Tennessee! Growing up in Northwest Indiana we rarely got out of school for snow. If we did, we had several FEET of snow and it was a blizzard outside with the wind chills 20 or 30 or more below! Oh but not Tennessee! Just the rumor of snow and everyone runs to the store to get milk and bread! I don't think we even got a full inch and its suppose to be in the 50s today, but guess what....NO SCHOOL! So the boys are enjoying a day at home. But they deserve such a day. Computer Geek takes a English College class Monday-Thursdays before school starts and Football star has football practice Tuesdays and Thursdays before school starts. That means they have to get up at 5 am on those days. So we will enjoy this 1st Snow day of the Winter season!

Until next time.....

Our First Week was a SUCCESS!

This picture says it all. We are definitely on the road to success. Our first "Getting Healthy" week was a success!! Today is weigh-in day. I was a little nervous for us all to weigh in because we had such a crazy weekend. Big D and I were at the camp grounds. So we were at the mercy of the cooks. We just prayed and made good choices. It wasn't easy passing by the biscuit and gravy at breakfast. Eating a cheese hamburger with no bread and passing by the cobblers at lunch. Computer Geek had two LAN parties. A lot of junk food to have to refuse. But our good choices paid off! I lost 7 pounds. Big D lost 10 pounds. Computer Geek lost 6 pounds. It is never easy, but the rewards are great! I personally always feel so much better when I am eating healthy. If you are working towards "getting healthy", hang in there. The benefits are better than that chocolate cake tastes! I PROMISE!

Until next time.....

Which Narnia Character are you????

I found this over at A Child of God's place. I ABSOLUTELY loved the movie Chronicles of Narnia! So I thought this would be a fun test to take. Since it's Sunday and I rarely have time to blog on Sundays (because I am napping between church times LOL!), I decided I would just take this test and post my results! Before I even TOOK this test, I knew which character I would be and I was right! Here are my results................

Narnia Personality Quiz
Take this quiz at
Sparrow's Song

I am so much like Lucy it is scarey. Even Computer Geek guessed that my results would be Lucy. I am glad that I am like Lucy. She was my favorite in the movie. I guess that is because I can relate to her.

If you take the time to take the test, please post your results in my comment box. I would love to hear what your results are....

Until next time.....

Fight the good fight!

Big D and I are leaving this afternoon to the church's state campground for a Bible seminar on 1 Timothy.

1 Timothy is Paul's letter to Timothy. Timothy probably wrote Paul a letter asking if he could leave Ephesus to rejoin Paul. Paul responded with this letter, 1 Timothy, in which he instructed Timothy to stay in Ephesus and continue his ministry there until he could rejoin him there.

My favorite verse in 1 Timothy is 1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." That is what we all have to do in this life "Fight the good fight of faith". Sometimes that is what it feels like in this world today, like we have to fight to be moral God loving people. But as we know, it will all be worth it because we will recieve eternal life with Jesus!

Have a great weekend!

Until next time.....

Here I go AGAIN!

Finally all the goodies from the Holidays are gone. I can start yet again my long-time battle with my weight. I have battled with my weight my entire life. Since I was a child. I have been on almost every diet known to man. I remember when the only diet soda was TAB! Talk about gross! I am so thankful for Diet Mountain Dew!

Big D, Computer Geek, and I have decided to support each other as we try to get "healthy". We are not on any fade diet. We are choosing to eat healthy. We all have to make choices in life, what time we get up in the morning, what we are going to wear, and yes what we are going to eat. Lately I have not felt good and I know its because of the junk I have chose to put into my body. I am choosing to eat healthy so that I can live longer and enjoy my family and friends. Life is too short as it is.

Everyone has something they need to work on to make them a better person. Whether it is to stop smoking, stop drinking, or stop using drugs. We all have things in our lives that aren't good for us. Mine just happens to be my addiction to food. So please keep us in your prayers. Physcially for me it is very important that I get this weight off me. I know its not going to be easy the next few months, but I HAVE to do this.

Until next time.....

Jesus being sued!

Oh plllllllease! Now I have heard EVERYTHING. I heard this story on Good Morning America today. I could NOT believe what I was hearing. An Italian court is deciding if He existed over 2,000 years ago. A man started the lawsuit to go against the Catholic church. Now why would this man start such nonsense? There is tons of historical books proving Jesus exists. January 27th will be the preliminary hearing to determine whether the case has enough to merit to go forward.

The Story

I am amazed that some people have nothing better to do. The man has even said he doesn't expect to win and that it would "take a miracle" to win. How dumb! Now if he would spend all this time reading the Bible, then maybe he would get to know the Jesus I know! Then he would have NO doubts He exisits! People never cease to amaze me!

Until next time.....

Oh man, I've been TAGGED!

My good friend,YellowRose tagged me yesterday.

Here are the Rules: “The first player of this game starts with the topic “five weird habits of yourself,” and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don’t forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says “You are tagged” (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.”

Not sure if these are weird or not, but here it goes......

1. I do ALL the driving for our family. If I am in a car, I am driving! It's not that Big D is a bad driver or anything. Matter of fact, he has only had a few accidents (that wasn't his fault) before we were married. It's because I get TOO nervous when anyone else drives. I haven't always been this way. Something that has started the past 4-5 years.

2. I have to be the last one in bed at night. I have to make sure everyone is safe and sound in bed before I can go lay down myself. I make sure all the lights are off and all the door locked. If I am sick and Big D makes me go lay down before they go to bed, I will get up sometime in the night and check to see if the lights are off.

3. I talk for my little min-pin. When she needs something, I will say "Daddy, could you get me some water" "Please take me potty" etc, etc.... The guys think I am nuts and I very well could be =).

4. I have straight medium length hair am constantly running my fingers thru it. Sometimes just to get it out of my face, sometimes to make sure its laying down right, and sometimes its just a weird habit!

5. I am constantly cleaning out my finger nails. I can't stand the thoughts of someone looking at my hands and seeing dirty finger nails. It's not that they are all that dirty all the time.

So now you know how strange I am! I am only tagging 3 friends.... A Word Fitly Spoken , Susiepie , Concrete Angel

Until next time.....

Back to the old Grind

Well it was "back to the old grind" for all of us today. The holiday vacation is over. We all had the look of dread on our face as we got ready for the day.

Computer Geek made several decisions over the Winter Break. After a lot of discussion and prayer that he make the right decision, he has decided to drop band the rest of the year so hopefully he can get a job. Band cost him his last job. He also decided not to pursue Marching Band at TTU. He said he want to give all he has to his education. He has decided to work towards a dual degree, Computer/Electrical Engineering. You have to admire a young man that has that ambition. As long has he is healthy and happy, he could be a janitor and I would just as proud of him. Although I loved watching him march and will miss it greatly, I really feel this was the best decision for him. He wants to take the ACT one more time. He got a 30 this last time, but wants a 31 due to more scholarship money. We are so proud of him.

Football star enjoyed his vacation. He got computer parts for Christmas and Computer Geek built it for him. So he has enjoyed days of lounging around. I hope he takes it easy during Physical Training and after school Weight Training. All those muscles will be in shock after all the time off. He will be taking the drivers test for his permit sometime this month. He thinks he is ready now, but I want to wait until I know he is. We are so proud of all his accomplishments.

Big D left this morning for work and I really hated to see him go. We had such a good time spending almost 2 weeks together. He called me about 8:30 and says, "I have to leave for Kentucky". Poor guy first day back from vacation and he has to travel. What a long day he will have now. He is such a good provider for his family. I love him so much for his dedication to take care of us.

Lacey and I, well we will have our normal day of cleaning and laundry while I waiting for work to come in.

It sure has been a quiet morning.

Until next time.....

Breaking records today!

Let me tell you I was in shock when the air conditioner turned on today. I guess because it was 75 degrees on this 2nd day of January. Can you believe that??? 75 degrees!! I found out later that we broke a 99 year old record. I think breaking 99 year old record is something to blog about!! Don't you??

Now the rest of the story (said in my best Paul Harvey voice):

Warm Weather Breaks Record In Nashville
Posted: 1/2/2006 5:49:00 PM
Updated: 1/2/2006 5:54:38 PM

No matter where you went on Monday people were talking about the weather. The unseasonably warm weather set a record high and it’s a record that has been around for a long time.

Parks all over middle Tennessee were full of people taking advantage of the spring like temperatures.

A record high of 75 degrees was set on Monday in Nashville. That blows away the 1907 record of 70 degrees on the second day of January.

A lot of parents were surprised that their kids could go outside today and they really did not need a coat.

The warmest it has ever been in the month of January in Nashville is 78 degrees.

Now if it would only last!!

Until next time.....

Happy New Year!!!

I want to wish all my family and friends a "Happy New Year". How many of you made New Years Resolutions last night?? I don't actually make New Years Resolutions per say, but I do make a mental list of a few things I would like to "try" to change about myself in the new year ahead.

Here are a few I thought of last night that I would like to try to do:

* Read my Bible more
* Lose weight
* Spend more quality time with the boys and Big D (even tho we spend more time than alot of people do together)

What did you do the first day of 2006?? Big D, the boys, and I went to church. Even tho it was VERY tough getting up this morning, I am so glad we went. What a great way to start off the new year, singing and praising the Heavenly Father for what He did in 2005 and what He is going to do in 2006. Then we went out to dinner with some good friends (no I didn't have the Southern New Years tradition for dinner..eewww). We have such a good time visiting with them. They have become apart of our family.
After dinner, we went and picked up Computer Geek a small fridge that he will need for college in a few months. When we came home, I decided that I would change my blog. I also decided that every year on New Years, I would clean the slate so to speak on my blog. Start fresh every new year. So how do you like it???

Until next time.....

Last Post of 2005

Wow, can you believe that today is the last day of 2005??? Where did this year go??? Seems like the older I get the faster time goes. Wonder why that is? When you are young, it seems like you have all the time in the world. I can remember when I was in school it seemed like from Monday to Friday was like months away. Spring, Summer and Winter breaks seemed a life time away. Now I turn around and an entire year is gone! Time is so precious. I try not to take it for granted, but I know we all do from time to time.

We have been very blessed this year. God has showed His mercy and love. For that I am grateful. I am also thankful for all the new friends I have met and grown to love.

My bunch is having a cozy New Year's celebration at home tonight. Nothing really exciting. We are having a "movie marathon and game night" and we will order a couple of pizzas. What are you doing for New Year's??

Until next time....

Who would have known......

...that going to see "Chronicles of Narnia" (which btw I absolutely loved!!!) would be so dangerous. But for a klutz like me, I guess it is. The boys and I were waiting on some friends to meet us before we went in, but I had to go to the bathroom. This is where all the excitement happens! The little 3 foot entry to the bathrooms is dimly lit. I went to push what I thought was the swinging door and missed (maybe I need to get my eyes checked for glasses!)and hit the WALL full force only catching my pinky on my right hand (thank goodness I am left-handed). Well of course, feeling extremely stupid, I acted like nothing happened, while all the while in pain. I didn't tell anyone until I got home and showed Big D. It hurt me most of the night, but I thought it was just a bad sprained finger. I am being in to wonder if I didn't fracture it. It is all purple around the top joint of my finger and so swollen it feels like its gonna pop. If you know anything about me, NO I haven't went to the doctor yet. I have it in a splint.
That is all the doctors did for Football Star when he fractured his toe last year. I think I will live, but beware of the moving walls at the Theatres! Oh and go see Narnia. You won't be disappointed!!

Until next time.....

It's already over???

It's difficult to believe that Christmas is over already! As a mother and a wife, it seems like I have prepared for several weeks. Baking cookies and candies to send to family and friends. Shopping and wrapping gifts. Going to several Christmas get-togethers and parties. Going to Christmas plays and concerts. Shopping for food for our Christmas dinner. Filling out Christmas cards and mailing them. Then before you know it, "bam" it's over! I have had a very wonderful and blessed Christmas. I got a lot of amazing gifts. Big D and the boys always do their best to spoil me. I even cooked my very first Christmas dinner by myself. We had Ham, Turkey, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Baked Beans, Deviled Eggs, Rolls,
Lefsa
, Pumpkin Pie and all the Chocolate goodies a person could eat. I made everything homemade, even the pumpkin pie! My first try at that too! The guys are still home on vacation until January 3rd(even Big D). I love having them home!
But it's kind of sad that Christmas over.

Do you get sad after Christmas is over??

Until next time.....

Mary Did You Know?

Before I even got out of the bed this morning, my mind was on Christmas. First thing I thought of is "what was Mary thinking this morning, thousands of years ago, as she woke up?" Still pregnant with our Savior. Was she thinking about all the things that still needed to be done before the delivery of her son? Or did she have everything ready? How was she feeling? I know as a woman when it gets close to "that time" our body begins to tell us to get prepared. With her womanly instinct did she know that soon she would be giving birth to Jesus??? How excited she had to be! Remember how it felt the first time you became a mother?? The excitement of holding that new baby! Knowing you created something so amazing and wonderful. Now imagine being Mary. Not only are you giving birth to a wonderful baby but a baby that is one day going to save the ENTIRE world. WOW! Today is the eve of when we celebrate the birth of our Savior. As a mother, I can only imagine what Mary was thinking on this day.

Mary did you know??????

Until next time.....

Lefsa

What you do for your kids! A couple weeks ago Computer Geek commented about how he wished we could have Lefsa (also spelled Lefse)for Christmas. Lefsa is a Norwegian flat bread made out of potatoes. Kind of like what a Mexican corn tortilla is like. After it is fried on the griddle(no oil,)you spread a thin layer of butter (or margarine) and sprinkle sugar on it then roll it up and ENJOY!! It used to be a Christmas family tradition in Big D's family every Christmas, but since his Grandma died we haven't had it in several years. So here I am (non-Norwegian)trying to make it. I am not much of a baker (or chef)so I had flour EVERYWHERE trying to roll out this Lefsa. It was fun as all 4 of us (with Princess Lacey under the table watching)sat at the table trying to make this Family treat. Big D was the fry man, Computer Geek was the gopher and helped supply the flour, Football Star and I did our best to roll out (or pat out) the Lefsa. After all the Lefsa was fried and the huge mess cleaned up, we each tried 1 piece of Lefsa as a treat for all our hard work. It was a joy to see Computer Geek's face light up as he tasted it. He and Big D both said, "Taste just like Grandma's". Wow what a compliment for me. Computer Geek didn't want this tradition to be lost from his generation and his future family. I am so glad that I gave it a try. What we do for our kids!!

Until next time.....

Blogging and Christmas.....

There just isn't enough time for both. Seems like each night when I sit down to blog about my Christmas activities I am so tired I don't have the brain activity to write.
So here is a little summary of what I have done the past few days. Last weekend we went to see Computer Geek in his Christmas play at church. The play was called "Merry Lane". The scene was in a nursing home where 3 brothers in their 80s lived together. Computer Geek was Edgar, the brother that was a peacemaker. It was a great Christmas comedy! They performed the play on Saturday night and Sunday night. Monday morning Big D had to fly to Michigan for work. Monday night was Computer Geeks last high school Christmas Band Concert. This week since both boys were exempt from Semester exams. They started their Christmas break a week EARLY. Monday was their last day! So Tuesday we did a little Christmas shopping for Dad before his flight came in that day. Football Star has been a big help in making Christmas cookies. One day we made 106 peanut butter balls. The next day we made Christmas Chocolate covered pretzels and Christmas Crunch (caramel popcorn dipped in chocolate).
I also have been preparing for the children's Church Christmas program which is this Sunday. I also finally got all my Christmas cards done and ready to mail tomorrow!
Tonight Big D and I are going Christmas shopping and getting food for the Youth Christmas party tomorrow night. Oh and Big D has to go to Kentucky tomorrow and HOPEFULLY will make it back in time for the Youth Christmas Party! (Would be a good idea he shows up since he is the Youth Pastor LOL!)

And how are all your Christmas activities going?

Until next time.....

Let the Christmas parties begin

Tonight Big D and I went to our first Christmas party of the season. It was one of several Christmas parties for his work. I really enjoy going to this Christmas party because it is at a swanky Country Club. So we put on our "Sunday best". We started attending this Christmas party about 7 or 8 years now. The meal tonight was a New York Strip steak (mine well done-Big D's medium), baked potato, salad, and cheesecake. Yummmm! As always, it was a very good! Then after everyone is finished eating, we play "Dirty Santa" (the gift exchange game). Oh now let me tell you, I love to play this game, but I do NOT love to play it when they set NO limits! There were a few gifts that were the "hot" item (a flashlight, small tool kit and utility knife). These people were persistent in getting what they wanted. So these gifts went around I know 20-30 times! That is why I like the rule 3 strikes and the gift is out rule! It was fun but after a while its like geeze its a cheap $5 gift, if you want it so bad go to Wal-mart and buy it! Big D came home with a Cinnamon Apple candle (He knew he had made my night because I absolutely love candles!) and I came home with a $5 Wal-mart gift card. Anyway, like I said we had fun and had several laughs. As always, as long as I am with Big D, I have a good time.

Until next time....

Brr It's cold outside!

You never know how blessed you are until something happens to REMIND you. Yesterday morning we woke up to a broken Heat Pump. It was the coldest day of the year so far here in Tennessee. It was in the mid-teens. Not a good day for the heat to be out. It was very difficult to get the boys motivated to get ready for school. I don't blame them. I, myself didn't want to come from out of the afghan! But after they realized it would be warmer at school, I think they were ready to go! After the boys left for school, Princess Lacey and I decided to pile up on the couch with 3 heavy blankets and just watch tv. Forget trying to do housework and laundry when the house was 30-40 degrees. About 10:30 tho the sun began to shine and warmed up the house just enough where you could move around. Big D came home about 2:30 from work and replaced the breaker. I am so thankful it was just a $25 breaker not something where we had to replace the Heat pump. NO time is a good time to replace a $5,000 unit but Christmas time is the worse. But thru all of this, it has made me very thankful that I have a good home to live in. I have a wonderful husband that works hard to take care of me. (yeah I work too, but he is the bread winner)
I am very blessed. If it were not for the grace of God and a wonderful hard working husband, I could be as homeless as the next homeless person. Take time today to be thankful for the little things! I know I am as I sit in a warm house today!

Until next time.....

Sick little Girl

I had to take Lacey to the vet this morning. When she woke up, she kept shaking her head and her right side of her face and ear didn't look right. I didn't let the boys know as they were getting ready for school that I was afraid maybe she was having a slight stroke. So I just picked her up and laid hands on her and begin praying for her. Yes, I said I prayed for my dog. The bible tells us that what concerns us concerns the Father. Our Heavenly Father cares even about the little things, even a dog. Bible also says cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you. Yes, there are many more important things I could pray for, but at that moment Lacey was important. As I finished praying, I looked up and Football Star was praying along. I knew Lacey would be ok. She just has a bad ear infection. So a few days of TLC and a few special treats, she will be back to new. When I told the vet about my thoughts of a stroke, she told me that is normal for dogs when they have an ear infection to look like they are having a stroke.

I am thankful that I can lean on the Lord even in the little things. I can't imagine life without Him.

Until next time.....

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas.....

around our house. The guys got down the Christmas stuff a couple of days ago, but we have been too busy to decorate the tree. I can't believe there are only 24 days until Christmas. I love this time of year because its when my Savior was born. Sometimes we are so busy this time of year that we forget to take time remember why we celebrate this holiday. "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" that was my mom's favorite saying. As I make my Christmas shopping list for those that I love, I think about the one true gift. Jesus, God's gift to the world. The world would love for us not to remember Him on His special day. If it were not for Jesus, we would not have Christmas. As your schedule begins to get hetic with all the Christmas parties, Christmas shopping, and Christmas decorating, please take time out to thank God for the ultimate gift!

Keep Christ in your Christmas!

Until next time.....
